Job Summary:
In this role, the Solar Design Manager will be responsible for all aspects of electrical design, analysis, and development of new solar systems as well as improvement plan for existing plant. Work closely with EPC contractors to make sure their designs comply with the scope of works and technical requirements and ensure electrical installations are carried out to the highest standards.
Main Responsibilities:
– Establish the plan and procedure for PV solar design activities
– Responsible for Survey, concept design, principal diagram, system configuration, efficiency analysis, detail design for construction and final BOQ for implementation of PV solar system including rooftop solar and transmission line/ system
– Perform detail calculation of customer energy demand vs solar capacity and annual energy output
– Providing engineering input from initial assessment through technical feasibility and ongoing operations for roof top solar system.
– Review design changes and propose for approval to ensure project performance.
– Technical assessment of PV products and equipment and provide recommendation for procurement
– Provide progress reports and other status updates to client and management as required (daily, weekly and monthly progress reports)
-Manages multiple projects simultaneously, on time, well documented to meet business and customer objectives.
– Provide ideas for innovation or improvement in construction/ O&M
– Reviewing and preparing technical documents including specifications, reports, proposals, calculations for any bidding package
