SUMMARY

• This position is responsible for the leading factory and moldshop technicians in bottom molds creation processes from blueprint making (2D & 3d), wooden molds/prototype making , molds fabrication (samples and production) and testing in coordination with the development team. He/She is responsible and accountable for ensuring that the molds are technically qualified following the best practices in mold making , workable in mass production, and that the resulting product conforms to development-confirmed looks and technical specifications. He/She is responsible in managing the mold fabrication timelines to meet devcom and production schedules Also, he is responsible and accountable in reviewing the conditions of existing production molds through regular audits/season and in maintaining accurate mold inventory. He/She is also involved in the setting up of mold cycle time in coordination with devcom and bottom molds department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leads the factory and moldshop technicians in bottom molds creation processes from blueprint making (2D & 3d), wooden molds/prototype , molds fabrication (samples and production) and testing in coordination with US product developers and/or China PD.
• Responsible in preparing and managing the mold fabrication timelines to meet devcom and production schedules.
• Responsible and accountable in reviewing the conditions of existing production molds through regular audits/season and in maintaining accurate mold inventory
• Assist devcom and bottom materials team in setting up and finalizing the cycle time.
• Check mold shop’s performance /audit ,work with mold shop for price negotiation, mold maintenance annually
• Provides technical assistance to production in solving mold-related productivity and quality issues
• Do job as maybe delegated by his/her superiors
