1. Vietnamese Teacher and TA’s management and development
– Recruit teachers/TAs and give them the training/induction
– Assist teachers + TAs to handle issues that arise, including difficulties with teaching, TA/school relationships, facilities, resources, and life in Hanoi (in consultation with expat AC as necessary)
– Carry out formal and informal observations, as required during the academic year and during each of the 2 observation cycles with written and verbal feedback
– Program coordination/ program quality control
– Liaise frequently with senior academic management team to communicate issues and solve problems (check-ins with expat fellow AC plus weekly meetings)
– Communicate frequently with every teacher/ TAs, face to face or by phone call; visit each school at least once per term
2. Teaching duties
– Teach own Kindergarten lessons (up to 10 hours per week) and make these available for other teachers to observe, as a basis for discussing teaching. Teaching hours, including cover, can be up to 40 hours per calendar month
– To be available for emergency cover
– Design and organize academic training/ sharing/workshops/ demo lessons… to selected students and teachers of the partner schools/ District DOETs/ DOET.. when required
3. Program/Course development
– Complete development work projects as assigned by SE Project management
4. Working hour
– 44 hours per week from Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work as necessary. Time off in lieu can be requested for weekend work
– Daily working time from 8.30am to 6pm [lunch time 12.00pm-1.30pm], adjustable accordingly when the day involves teaching, e.g. AC teaches from 8am – 11am or 2pm – 4.30pm)
