JOB SUMMARY
The post holder primary role will be as a Project manager for a large project – UNITE4TB – funded by the European Union. This is a 7 year project which started in June 2021 that will conduct innovative phase 2 trials in Vietnam that will develop new drugs and regimens for tuberuculosis. The post-holder will work closely with a senior clinical project leader (Dr Le Hong Van) to help deliver the project. The post holder will also assist with the delivery of other NIH-funded projects (INTERCEPT, ULTIMATE, ENDxTB and TBRU) that aim to find novel pathways and molecules for the treatment of tuberculous meningitis, improve TB diagnosis and undestand TB pathogenesis
The post holder will work directly with the Head of TB Group and other members in the TB group, also with other groups or departments in OUCRU, EOCRU and University of Oxford to support to manage these projects. The post holder will also organise activities, such as conference calls, meetings, audits, in the group and with local and international collaborators.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· The post holder will work closely with members of the TB group and other members of OUCRU to implement the above projects. This will involve liasing with team members face-to-face, or by email/social media
· Coordinating/making travel arrangements (with assistance of OUCRU travel team) – including arranging permissions, visas etc for foreign visitors
· Providing detailed and real-time budgetary reports to PIs (with assistance of finance team)
· Day-to-day logistics for clinical trial set up and implementation (eg ethics, hospital payments, IT systems) with close coordination of colleagues in OURCU CTU
· Overseeing progress of clinical studies and liasing with clinical trials unit staff
· Organising meetings
· Co-ordinating and arranging regular communications between team members, recording and writing up these meetings
· Ensuring the projects are carried out in compliance with OUCRU and Oxford policies (Information Communications Technologies, data management) and that team members are also compliant
· Other duties which may be assigned from time to time, for example covering some study duties

This post is based in Oxford University Clinical Research Unit, Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam.
HOURS OF WORK
Full time Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week, extra hours may be required.
TENURE
This is a 1 year contracted position with possibility of extension to 5 years

COMPETENCIES
· Well developed troubleshooting capacity and clarity of thought
· Strong organisation skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and work within tight deadlines
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an international team environment using modern communication tools (skype; dropbox etc.)
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
· Team worker, able to work in a multi-cultural environment and with multi-disciplinary teams
· Understanding of academia, research or not-for-profit working environment

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
· College degree as a minimum
· Experience in data entry/verification/administration
· Excellent attention to detail.
· Highly meticulous. High level of concentration.
· Being organized, team player, patient, dedicated, and disciplined.
· Excellent written and spoken Vietnamese.
· Excellence in typing and computer skills, particularly MS Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
· Good English speaking and reading skills.
· Fresh graduate, 1-2 year work experience in office environment

PREFERRED CRITERIA
· Experience in data entry, data management or data systems.
· Fast typing speech with accuracy
