1. Staff duties :

• Duty allocation in a manner to ensure optimum utilization of present manpower.
• Leave management, tracking absenteeism and hands on training ongoing basis.

2. Analytical skills :

• Implementation of Internal and external quality assurance plan derived by Quality Manager in co-ordination with HOD.
• Quality Control procedures as defined in SOP
• Daily monitoring of Quality Control and monthly review.
• Specimen processing as per defined SOP’s
• Maintaining analytical turnaround time
• Completion and Validation of test results, (with due precaution whereby no. of default cases of report generation should be minimized over a period)
• Storage of samples before and after investigations performed
• Follow biomedical waste disposal procedures as per guidelines
• Following the safety guidelines strictly as per norms
• Typing report of all tests of Molecular Biology that are not interfaced and cross checking of interfaced reports.
• Taking care of emergency samples and ensuring critical values are communicated to the pathologists.
• Effective communications with Customer support and other verticals that are linked with Molecular division of lab via email.
• Effective communication with patients or front-end staff to corelate history of the patient for reporting of results.

3. Purchase and Inventory:

• Helping purchase manager in planning for standing orders and keeping a reserve stock of kits that has have moderate to low availability.
• Generation of indents for the requirements above the standing order
• Checking of the goods received.
• Meeting the purchase manager on fortnightly basis for inventory/ purchase management
• Optimum utilization of reagents and cost cutting.

4. Equipment’s:

• Routine maintenance of equipment as defined in SOP
• Reviewing Routine Maintenance and special – daily, weekly, monthly, yearly equipment log
• AMC/ CMC, preventive maintenance, and breakdown handling.

5. Documentation:

• Regular preview of SOPs (Read & Understood).
• Maintaining hard and soft copy records.
• Documentation of Daily QC / Maintenance etc
• Forming and availing documents required for ISO15189/ CAP.
• Equipment Log: entire history of the equipment, installation report, summery of parts replaced, break downs.
• Troubleshooting for the section.
• Problem solving of the subordinates
• Supporting management in development of new test assays and improving the DOS.
