1. Classroom Management:

– Establishing a classroom climate conducive to effective learning.

– Making a significant contribution to improving the performance of the students.

– Preparing and submitting weekly lesson plans when appropriate.

2. Student Assistance:

– Using a variety of means for overcoming weaknesses among students.

– Displaying a positive and constructive tone of voice that encourages a healthy relationship with students.

3. Student Evaluation:

– Providing a complete summary of the student’s performance.

– Describing the student’s classroom behaviour, overall disposition, and attitude to subject, teacher, and classmates.

– Showing evidence of the developing character of the student.

4. Professional Involvement and Growth:

– Participating in the selection of textbooks and other instructional materials and equipment where appropriate.

– Contributing to the continuous improvement of the educational programme.

– Working with the Head of School, HOE, Head of Vietnamese and other staff members in a positive and cooperative manner.

– Keeping abreast of new trends in education and new ideas in his/her specific teaching field.

– Participating in all professional development activities organized by the school and attending professional development as deemed appropriate by the school.

5. Specifics to Language Teaching:

– Liaise with the Head of School on Scope and Sequence of Teaching and Learning at ISV.

– Create an Inquiry based model of teaching the Vietnamese language to ISV students.

– Develop an assessment strategy in keeping with the ISV Assessment Policy.

– Contribute to the ISV Extra Curricular Activity program.

– Participate in all training sessions given by the Cambridge and other organizations, including ICT training.
