The summer schools of Slavonic Studiesnbsp;is offering Czech language courses during the summer months (July – September). These 2 to 4 weeks courses are designed for foreign students, teachers, translators andnbsp;interpretersnbsp;and other expertsnbsp;active in the field of Czech/Slavonic studies.
The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MEYS, MŠMT in Czech) is responsible for public administration in education, fornbsp;developing educational, youth and sport policies and international cooperation in these fields.
Czech Republic Government offers a number of general and subject-specific funding schemes. The aim of the scholarshipsnbsp;is to attract the best and most motivated people to Czech Republic

The Summer Schools offer language courses at various levels of proficiency, seminars on the Czech literature, culture and history, free-time activities including theatrical, musical and dance performances, trips etc.
- These courses are designed for foreign students, teachers, translators and interpreters and other experts active in the field of Czech/Slavonic studies.
- Summer School courses are open also to foreign nationals who do not hold or cannot apply for the aforementioned scholarships and wish to bear the related expenses themselves.
- For 2017, the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport offers a limited number of scholarships for participation in the Summer School courses to applicants from the following countries (listed alphabetically): Albania, Argentina, Austria, Belgium – Flemish Community, Belgium – French Community, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canada (Alberta), China, Colombia, Croatia, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Mexico, Mongolia, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Korea, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, the Ukraine, United Kingdom and Vietnam.
