– Lead and manage fairly and openly assigned assistant merchandisers (if any).
In assigned categories
– Keep abreast of the current retail market online and offline in Vietnam, identifying:
· New trends in the market,
· New opportunity for your categories and the brand
· New brands to the market
· Selling price level of the competitors (permanent and promo)
– Conduct regular competitor visits, and vendors meetings to analyses, report and ensure our competitive edge in terms of selling price, commercial margin, product modernity and quality.
– Run the category management of your assigned categories to maximize merchandise mix, sales volume, commercial margin and profit.
– To be overall responsible for the catagory identity and assortment (from range construction to SKU and proposed functions).
– To work with the head of merchandise to ensure that all promotional activity is supported with the correct level of markdown/MPO offers or other promotional activity.
– Secure the catagories are in line with the commercial calendar and follow up the execution of the commercial and sourcing calendar.
– Co-create and approve import reverse planning with sourcing team, especially for special events/seasonal products.
– Manage to achieve the business plan for sales, GP through executing price ladder and price points, sell through, product shelf life and effective stock management at category, sub category and/or SKU level.
– Build and maintain good relationship with assigned vendors for the business’ best interest.
– Cooperate with Digital department to achieve the best product description of assigned categories for SEO & paid ads
– To work on range construction and product development. Develop proper products technical specifications in cooperation with quality department to maximize buying savings.
– To be in charge of merchandising guidelines and activities for brand /product category as assigned.
– Propose new products which satisfy customer’s needs, company policy (ethics, etc.) and Vietnam regulations.
– Provide maximized product description and customer benefits for all digital media .
– Responsible for educating promoting and training product knowledge to the operation’s team .
– Supervise range and product selling points teaching and coaching workshops to front office.
– Prepare briefs and RFQ for sourcing needs as per company processes and templates.
– Work on buying plannings to control and ensure that orders are shipped and delivered on promised dates while optimizing storage costs.
– Solve problems during order processing.
– Monitor the completion of orders from selection approval to arrival with suppliers and other departments.
– Review weekly sales and identify any risk or opportunities, set up and maintain WS reports, trading reports and all other merchandise tasks like range analysis, sizing analysis, leaflet analysis.
– Manage deliver and take lead on the assigned product group to be delivered in the group KPI, Sales, Profit margin, Other Income, inventory.
– Control and follow up files of purchases, shipments, warehousing and related matters.
– Controlling of descriptions of available supplies.
– Participates in meetings, in-service training, workshops, etc. for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions.
– Processes financial data and documents (e.g. incoming purchase requisitions, mail, etc.) for the purpose of updating and distributing information and/or acquiring resources to support purchasing operation in compliance with established guidelines.
– Processes requisitions into approved purchase orders for the purpose of updating and distributing information and/or acquiring resources in compliance with established guidelines.
– Respect SOP and improve them.
– Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
