Join us as a Board of Management member and give influence on both the commercial and the strategic direction. You are also responsible for Merchandising & B2B development strategy to achieve business goals of MM Mega Market Vietnam.
I. JOB ROLES
Strategic Management Tasks
- Responsibility for strategy, management and control of the Merchandising and B2B Development Strategy and Supplier Relationship as a major contribution to the achievement of the MMVN business objectives
- Develop specific customer strategy and sales initiatives by segment. Define projects, obtain approval and resources from board to proceed, lead the team towards implementation.
- Drive strategy for the Own Brand Team to develop an appropriate portfolio of Own Brand items that are correctly positioned in the market to suit the needs of current and potential customer segments.
Key / Functional & Admin Activities
- As a Board of Management member, influence both the commercial and the strategic direction
- Full P&L for all Food & Non – Food Categories including Own Brands
- Provide vision, develop short & long term strategies, set objectives and achieve turnover, margin and throughput for all categories offered
- Drive merchandise strategy on the 4 P’s: product, price, place (merchandising), and promotion, considering full market, product, customer and competitor data and trends, and based on this formulate corrective actions and growth plans
- Lead the development of Food & Non Food range, concepts and new formats to maximise performance and return on investment (ROI) according customer needs and company guidelines
- Responsible for the Own Brand Management in terms of Assortment, Budget /Forecast, SKU/Sales/Profit , Quality Assurance, Packaging and Promotion
- Jointly determines promotional strategy with Customer Management and Operations and drives the Corporate Concept on merchandising and layout requirements
- Acts as the interface in the Country Management Board between supplier and company
- Build up and maintain business relationships with other principals, suppliers and governmental authorities and institutions
- Define and ensure the maintenance of product quality / safety benchmark standards and thus the ‘total quality’ of Food & Non Food trading activity
- Develop individuals within the function to achieve their maximum potential through a process of feedback and specific development plans and programs
- Optimize financial efficiency based on target, e.g. Networking Capital (Stock, Payment) and Free Cash Flow
- Ensure product availability through effective stock / old stock management and supplier partnership development
Team Management & Development
Developing successors within the function and also developing people for the ongoing international requirements in the area of merchandise.

III. JOB REQUIREMENTS
- MBA preferred and 15 years of management level
- Advanced knowledge of product and merchandising principles, methods and processes, e.g. in range and assortment building
- Sound knowledge of B2B, Cash and Carry format and professional customer management
- Excellent expertise in product sourcing and supplier management
- Experience in developing and realising budgets with P & L responsibility for multiple products / Brands
- Experience and expertise in developing and implementing product and category strategies in Food areas
- Knowledge about financial management
- Entrepreneurial and customer focus, understands the MM Mega Market business and how trading works
- Understands and applies to business specifics in other countries
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, assertive
